starting over

the idea of creating a new blog has been in my head for a while.. i was thinking of starting afresh with a new blog but then i decided not to. i mean, we don't need to throw out the old in order to make something better.. i'm not sure if that makes much sense.. well, let's see if i can explain it another way.. we are all sinners and yet God chooses to use us.. He could create an entire race of people who are sin-less and pure, but instead He calls us His children and sent His only son to die on the cross for our sins so that we may have eternal life.. He chooses instead to use us and transform our lives - which is a much longer and tedious process as opposed to just making a whole new race.. but it's through the process that lives get touched and along the way others can see the changes in us which are God induced.. and in the same way, i'm gonna try and transform this blog.. i'm gonna change the entire way i blog.. i'm not perfect and i'll probably revert to my old ways sometimes, but i'll try my best..

I'm borrowing this list from Kelvin (hope you don't mind Kel):
1. I will not make my blog a pity party place where I whine about how my life sucks (because it doesn't).
2. I will not blog about the mundane details of the events of my daily life - i.e. what I ate for lunch; what I wore to work etc.
3. I will actually try to make my blog intelligent.
4. I will (try to) blog in proper English - don't expect "lah's" & "lor's" :P
5. I will only blog edifying stuff that seeks to build up, not tear down; encourage not frustrate.

While this blog still retains it's original purpose, which was to help keep my friends and family back home updated on my life, it will now inculde even more aspects of my life.. it will be centred around my walk with God on life's journey.. i want it to be a blog which inspires anyone who happens to read it..

2008 is going to be an awesome year and i know that God has a lot in store for all of us.. I can't wait to see what He's gonna do in my life and what He's gonna use me for..

Oh yes! some good news.. i applied for permission to do an overload of topics this sem.. it basically means that i wanna do more units / topics than required.. we're actually supposed to do 18 units (or 3 topics) per semester.. but i requested to do 4 topics (24 units) instead.. and praise God my request was approved!! i'm sooo happy.. based on the assumption that i do another overload next sem and in sem 1 of 2009, i can actually graduate with an arts degree in june 2009.. but cos of my education it'll take me till 2010.. ugh! but we'll see how that goes.. it's sooooooooooooooooooooo exciting.. i can't wait to start uni.. but i'm loving every minute of being in s'pore too.. i love my life and everyone in it! have a great week people!
